Kart-a-Bag® products have been used in the radio industry for a number of years. Radio station personnel who do live shows from remote sites find the Super 600 or the Tri-Kart 800 their favorites. Either unit carries 300lbs. of equipment in one trip from van to site. When not in use, either model telescopes down in to a small and compact storage size.

The question of which unit is better is the clients choice. The Super 600 has two wheels, therefore pushing or pulling the load weight is controlled by the users hands, wrists and arms. If the user has strong upper body muscles, they are happy with the Super 600. The cart weighs 13lbs. in its storage size

The Tri-Kart 800 carries the load weight on 4 wheels, using the 2 auxiliary wheels when traversing long, flat roadways or parking lots. The user needs less strength to guide the loaded cart due to weight distribution. When stairs, curbs or escalators are encountered, the auxiliary wheels are folded up and locked, allowing the user to slide the cart up or down on the steel stair slides. The storage size weight is 16lbs.

If the user buys the Super 600 and later decides that they need the auxiliary wheels, a kit with the wheels may be purchased and added on. Film, Video and TV production crews obviously have many heavy cases to move from site to site and by air to locations. The Kartmaster HD500S serves as a multi-mode cart, offering auxiliary shelves which require no screws for assembly . The added bonus is in the telescoping design: it telescopes down and folds up into a locked, compact size for shipping or storage. (The problem of a bulky series of shelves and base to transport is gone.)

The Kartmaster HD500S received one of ten "Pick Hits" in product design at the 1995 NAB trade show from Video Systems magazine. Independent judges assigned awards based on "making the workers job easier".

The Kartmaster HD500S is made of square aluminum and stainless steel rods. The telescoping construction opens with a push button to 49" in height. The extruded aluminum nose plate folds out and carries 500 lbs. in the upright hand truck mode and rolls on a choice of pneumatic or solid polyurethane tires. The cart has been tested by repeatedly dropping 500 lb. loads 2 feet without any damage to the cart, cases or tires. When the site is reached, the auxiliary shelves, (without the use of screws and lock nuts) can be attached to the flat bed mode providing a work table. The top shelf has patented hinges which also act as supports for 200 lbs. of monitors, cameras, or a place to assemble lighting or sound equipment . The rear wheels may be locked eliminating the problem of an accidental bump of the equipment shelf after set up . The standard matte black finish removes the possibility of an added light source on set. Each unit has a serial number deeply inscribed on it.

Recently added: When the cart is in the flat bed mode, the upright hand truck handles pivot into space under the cart. This enhancement eliminates any problem of catching a boot rim on them.
